American Association of Universities Women awards fellowship to Ghadeer Dawwas

Ghadeer Dawwas, M.B.A., BSPharm, a graduate student in the department of pharmaceutical outcomes and policy, has been awarded an American Association of Universities Women, or AAUW, International Doctoral Degree Fellowship in the amount of $20,000. These prestigious awards are highly competitive and awarded to outstanding women in graduate studies. AAUW provided more than $3.7 million in funding 250 fellowships and grants for women worldwide for the 2017-18 academic year. The fellowship will assist Dawwas in completing her dissertation work, which focuses on examining the safety and effectiveness of antiplatelet therapy. She works under the supervision of Haesuk Park, Ph.D., an assistant professor of pharmaceutical outcomes and policy.
