Graduate student Jean Malavé wins Presidential Abstract Award at PGRN Scientific Meeting
Malavé received the Presidential Abstract Award at the Pharmacogenomics Global Research Network Scientific Meeting in Columbus, Ohio, on Sept. 24.
POP graduate student Henry Hung-Kai Chen places third in student abstract competition at ISPE Annual Meeting
Chen was the Third Place Winner of the Stanley A. Edlavitch Award, named after the society’s first executive director.

Graduate Student Awards
The UF College of Pharmacy recognizes outstanding Ph.D. students who have excelled in their research, academics, and service to the community. Recipients of the award are nominated by faculty and students based on their accomplishments and selected by the Graduate Education Committee.
The University of Florida College of Pharmacy awarded these graduate students with the college’s top honors in 2024-25.
Robert and Stephany Ruffolo Graduate Education & Research Fellowship

This award recognizes Ph.D. students who have exceptional research accomplishments, including extramural awards, publications and evidence of exemplary leadership, professional activity or service.
Ronald J. and Sally G. Brenner Fellowship

Bonnie Avery Advancing Women in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Endowment Award
Nina Erwin
This award is given in memory of our colleague and friend Dr. Bonnie Avery for a student who demonstrates leadership and professionalism, and has been engaged in activities that advance women in the pharmaceutical sciences.
Hartmut Derendorf Graduate Education Fellowship
Peter Ramdhan
This award is given in memory of the late Dr. Hartmut Derendorf and is for an entering student to the college who show promise in pharmaceutical research.
